Housed in an independent block, the College library is one of the oldest libraries. It has a rich and rare collection of books, some even dating back to the year 1868.

The college library has a collection of over 40,000 books pertaining to the varied range of subject being offered in the college. The library facilities are upgraded every year in terms of making available latest titles on all the subjects taught in the college. The library subscribes to as many as 26 magazines, newspaper and journals relating to topics of general nature and specialized fields of sciences. It also maintains a textbook section (book bank) from which students can borrow textbooks over a longer period. The day functioning of the library is taken care by library staff. Automation of the library is in progress, which will help in smooth and efficient functioning of library.

LIBRARY RULES: Books will be issued to the students on production of the library borrower's card which is issued from the librarian to a bonafide student at the start of academic session after submitting the admission form. In order to avoid any misuse of the card a student should keep it in safe and report to the librarian in case of lost/misplaced. A duplicate card will be issued at the payment of Rs 50/- after due verification. The damaged card can be replaced by surrender against a payment of Rs 20/-.

  • Books lost or damaged in any way shall be replaced by the borrower failing which the cost of the books shall be realized. The books keeper should satisfy him/her about the condition of the book before leaving the counter.
  • Books are issued for a period of seven days and after that will be charged and a fine of one rupee per day per book shall be charged.
  • Reference books, rare books and current periodical can be consulted only within the college library.
  • Students shall not take their personal books or belongings inside the library.
  • Student can borrow three books from the library at a time.
  • Students are required to observe complete silence in the library and the reading room.
